| Recycle Breakout Material and Planings | Heat and Mix | Relay as Base, Planings can be used as a wearing course | ||
| Load the breakout material or 'planings' into the Asphalt Recycler. This can be done by JCB as shown in the presentation. | Depending on weather conditions and material, heating and mixing times are normally between 8- 18 minutes. Planings tend to be quicker due to the higher bitumen content |
Within 8-18 minutes you will have 4 - 5 tonnes of base material or 8 /6mm wearing/topping course ready to lay, |
